Information

This is information for visitors to our club. 

Visitors are welcome at the club during opening hours. Please respect closures for working bees, meetings and other range closures. 

General Information

RANGE FEE : $20.00

Targets: $4.00

Patches: $10.00 (Roll of 1500, subject to availability) 

CASH  PREFERRED, 

EFTPOS NOT Always AVAILABLE

We WILL NOT Accept $50 or $100 bills

MAX $10 change given. 

 

VISITORS  Arrival/Departure Instructions:

ALL PERSONS ATTENDING THE RANGE MUST REPORT TO THE CLUBHOUSE AND ARE PROHIBITED FROM ENTERING RANGES OR RANGE AREAS WITHOUT COMPLETING THE SIGN IN PROCESS. 

  • MUST SIGN VISITORS BOOK Immediately, DO NOT ENTER RANGES UNTIL SIGNED IN this is important and you do so in the clubhouse

  • Visitors that are not shooting and/or wanting to look at the range Must be a guest of a member or arrange a committee member to escort them. Non members/visitors/spectators are NOT to roam the range unescorted, this is for safety reasons. 

  • Present a valid Firearms Licence or Govt ID (All Visitors and Members are required to do this) you must keep the firearm licence with you when on ranges or in possession of firearms and ammunition. 

  • VISITORS MUST HAVE APPROPRIATE HEARING AND OCULAR PROTECTION RATED TO AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS. You will not be permitted on ranges without it. (Mandatory) 

  • NSWAPA or SSAA Membership

  • Home Pistol/Rifle Club Membership Card (Mandatory)

  • Pay Range Fees

  • Visitors Tag must be worn visibly 

  • Hold a valid receipt on the day of attendance (must be shown on request) 

  • Follow Range Rules 

  • Act Safely 

  • Return Visitors tag and club equipment (as it was provided) 

Opening hours:

See home page, subject to change. 

The club has a working bee on the 2nd Saturday of the month, there is no shooting during this time for obvious reasons. 

If the Range Close sign is up there are no firearms on ranges. 

Basics:

Visitors must observe range rules while at the club and follow all instructions given by our Officials, this is fairly standard operating procedure at any club. Range information is available on each range and in the club house upon request and if you require any assistance please ask we are more than happy to help. 

Newtec is committed to providing a safe, compliant place to enjoy the sport and we ask you work with us so we can get you on the ranges ASAP. 

IMPORTANT: ALL VISITORS MUST BE SIGNED IN, YOU ARE NOT TO ROAM THE RANGES UNATTENDED,

YOU ARE A VISITOR AND YOU ARE WELCOME BUT MUST HAVE A PURPOSE TO BE A THE CLUB. 

SHOOTING VISITORS ARE TO MOVE TO THE RANGE IN WHICH THEY ARE SHOOTING ON, A MEMBER MUST BE ON THE RANGE WITH YOU (RANGE SAFETY OFFICER).

NO FIREARMS ARE TO BE UNCASED IN THE CLUB HOUSE.

No FIREARMS are to be in holsters off live fire ranges and holster cards must be displayed. 

Newtec Reserves the right to inspect Firearms and Ammunition brought on to our ranges. 

Visitors are RESTRICTED to .22lr when using rifles or .25 Air Rifles, there are no exceptions to this rule. This includes anyone that is not a Newtec Pistol Club member. 

SSAA attendances are available, 9am to 10:30am, 

We expect you will enjoy our club and have a good time shooting.

NEWTEC PISTOL CLUB DOES NOT OFFER 'TRY SHOOTING DAYS' for unlicenced persons.

If you are unwell please do not attend our club, we apprecaite people like to share and that is a great thing, we just don't really want you to share any viruses or illness. If you are sharing money you are more than welcome to stop by much as you like ;-)

NEWTEC Welcomes visitors but please appreciate that you are a visitor at the club & you will be not welcomed again if you conduct yourself in a manner that is not inline with our values. Any decisions made by NEWTEC Officials are not open to discussion or debate. No Refunds will be given if you are ejected from the club. 

If as a visitor you damage any of the club facilities you will be liable for costs to repair the damage and claims lodged against whomever hold liability insurance for you. 

If you have not paid fees or signed in you are not lawfully at the club and you may not be covered by insurances, please do not enter ranges or touch firearms without first being admitted to the club officially. 

We apologise for this sounding so rigid, this is just so that everyone is clear and safe on the ranges, if there are any concerns you are more than welcome to ask or clarify.
