General information about LongArms (Rifle) at Newtec Range. 

Rifle Matches 

Currently we are working on new additions to rifles in support of our new direction so please be patient. You can still participate in current events, practice, sighting, etc 

Targets

We have targets available for purchase

We have 50m, Benchrest and 90m red for effect. 

  • Members: $1.00 

  • Visitors: $2.00

Targets are available from the Captain and Secretary on Saturdays. Interests of fairness we will only be selling 5 at a time until we get our bearings, so we have them available for everyone. 

Restrictions

With everything in life there are restrictions on what can be used this is part of the range approval not a club rule. 

​

  • No Centrefire rifle ammunition in any form, construction, excuse can be used. 

  • .22 ammunition is fine 

  • Pistol Calibre Ammunition is fine (Do not push it) (Members Only) 

  • .25 air rifle (Obviously that is upto) 

  • The approval sets energy limits too so please see the general page for that, math is not my strong point and I go cross eyed fast. 

Ask if the Captain if you are unsure.

Visitors 

We limit visitors to rimfire and air rifle, unfortunately the few ruined it for the masses. 

No Jacketed or Magnum ammunition permitted.
